Drawing Update Surveys

What is this service?

Many Clients have layout/floor plan drawings of their buildings either from the construction stage (as built) or have commissioned drawings to be created at some stage during ownership. Over time, these drawings can become outdated through unrecorded variations, extensions, repurposing or general drawing errors. This can include both the layout and the room coding and naming conventions used. A drawing update survey is used to assess and correct the drawings in terms of coding, function, layout, dimensions and any other drawing errors discovered.

How can RBA help?

We are experienced in surveys of this type and have both corrected existing drawings in terms of coding, function, dimensions and layout as well as creating entirely new drawings where none were available to the Client before. We have a designated Computer Aided Design (CAD) team who are competent and experienced with this software and can also provide the drawings in various client specified formats such as PDF and JPG if requested. This service is often used by clients as an additional requirement whilst carrying out another type of survey, but can also be stand-alone if required.
